Help with Brookside PBIS

Sign Up to Help!

Our students work hard to show the school rules of Prompt, Prepared, Polite & Safe everyday. As part of our PBIS program, they earn tickets that can be spent at the PBIS Store on fun prizes and rewards.

We parent volunteers to help run the store so students can enjoy this special experience!

What you’ll do:

  • Help students browse and “shop” for prizes

  • Restock items and keep the store organized

  • Encourage positive behavior and celebrate their success

$50,000 Brookside Garden Grant

Brookside School / United Way / OEC PTA has been awarded a $50,000 garden grant to create and enhance a school garden that supports student learning, wellness, and community connection. The OEC PTA is working to make this project happen! This project is an exciting opportunity to build a space that reflects our shared values and serves students for years to come.

In the grant there is money for an outside organization to come in and support the learning during the day and as apart of the United Way after school.

Black History & Culture: Revolutionary Legacies

Gallery Hours – Starting 1/31
Monday-Saturday 10AM-4PM

We Were Here From the Beginning

In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, Bethany Arts Community’s 6th Annual Award-winning Black History & Culture Exhibit: Revolutionary Legacies. explores how African Americans have defined, and redefined freedom from 1776 to today. Each gallery is rooted in a line from the Declaration of Independence, showing how Black people have continually challenged the nation to live up to its founding ideals.

Through art, artifacts, photography, storytelling, and interactive installations, this exhibit honors the spirit of revolution, resilience, and representation that continues to shape our culture. From the battlefield to the way we dressed to command dignity, from innovation to influence, Black Americans have been, and remain, the true trendsetters of freedom and style.

Curated by Ossining Village Historian, Joyce Sharrock Cole.

Testimonials

"I want to express my gratitude for our school's Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Even though the school year just started, their presence is already felt - they helped us to greet our students on the first day of school with balloons and bubbles; they purchased new indoor recess games for our classes; they donated fans to rooms without air conditioning; they welcomed back our teachers with breakfast last week; and they are ensuring that childcare is provided for our Back to School nights so that parents can focus on the teacher's presentation. " -Ms. Orduz, Brookside Principal
